Endowed Chair in Cotton Engineering, Ginning, and Mechanization
Cotton is Texas’ largest agricultural export, contributing $2.4 billion to the state’s gross domestic product. On average, Texas produces 6.2 million bales per year, leading the nation in cotton production and supporting more than 40,000 jobs. With its status as a land-grant institution, Texas A&M University is instrumental in serving the state’s cotton industry, and the Endowed Chair in Cotton Engineering, Ginning and Mechanization contributes to this role. By supporting outstanding faculty with expert industry experience, the chair helps to boost the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the industry across the state.
